HSE Manager – Oil Sands

This world class E&P company is seeking a HSE Manager to join their team in Calgary, AB to manage the HSE organization, HSE Management System and documentation for the Project engineering, construction, commissioning and start-up phase in accordance with Company HSE policies and objectives as well as with international, federal, and provincial standards and laws. You will provide recommendations and supports to the Project Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Field Operations groups in the areas of Health/Medical, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment, coordinate with HSE Division and HQ organizations , manage Health/Safety / Environmental staff under direct supervision and Site HSE staff.
Must have a Bachelors’ degree in related field, minimum of 15-20 years experience in oil and gas production and construction operations, previous demonstrated experience managing Contractors and OH&S in a contractual environment; experience of having been in an operational position as well as in an HSE corporate support position would be an advantage.
Minimum of 5-10 years experience as an HSE specialist; Expertise in HSE management techniques with experience in large to mega projects within the Canadian Oil Sands.
