Aberdeen Consultancy announces two key appointments

An Aberdeen consultancy has announced the appointment of two new Associate Directors.

FQM Ltd, previously known as Facilitators Quality Management, has recruited both George Melvin, who will head the company’s HSEQ Centre of Excellence and Chris Docherty who will be responsible for FQM Training, Sales and Marketing.

A graduate engineer of Glasgow Caledonian University, Chris brings over 20 years experience in supplier and quality management at a senior level. Having worked world-wide, he has managed many of the largest blue chip companies globally. He was previously a senior Manager with Samsung and has excellent understanding of company operational and commercial factors.

Meanwhile with over 16 years experience in Project Management, Production and Commissioning, George Melvin is well recognised within the industry for delivering tangible results. He was previously with Shell and is skilled in managing complex programmes and contract arrangements.
 
Commentating on the appointments, Managing Director Allan Dick said;

With his wealth of experience in the Oil and Gas sector and very pragmatic approach to health and safety, George has helped an increasing number of operators and supply chain clients comply with HSE regulations and legislation and manage their risks and reputation.

Meanwhile Chris’ Contracts and Quality Management experience in the global electronics industry is proving invaluable in helping clients implement and improve contractor management processes. Their diverse knowledge and experience will be key in expanding and driving forward our activities.’’
